...adds high-end 3D warping and 3D displacement mapping features to Adobe After Effects, Avid/DS + Eyeon's Digital Fusion.

Forge FreeForm maps the selected 2D image, footage or illustrator EPS files onto a N.U.R.B.S. surface. And there's more! Forge FreeForm adds control points, + tangents right in the comp window of Adobe After Effects making FreeForm AE,DF + DS the most intuitive way to 3D warping and displacement mapping.

Huh! You may say? OK, let's try that again,
this time no tech-talk...
...Forge FreeForm is a plug-in or filter for After Effects, Avid DS, Digital Fusion or Maya Fusion that maps (applies) the selected layer(s) onto what feels like a pliable rubber sheet that you can deform, distrort and manipulate in 3D space. It does this in a most intuitive manner by displaying "handles" right in the Composition Window of the host 2D application... a must have in a digital artists toolbox. But don't take our word for it. See what FreeForm users are saying or take a look at Forge FreeForm in action.

Forge FreeForm is now available for:
FreeForm for After Effects
Adobe After Effects 5.0 and higher
(Mac OS 9.0 + higher, OSX 10.01 + higher as well as for Windows 98 and Windows XP)

FreeForm for Digital Fusion
eyeon's Digital Fusion and Alias/Wavefront's Maya Fusion
(Alpha or Intel)

FreeForm for Avid DS
Avid DS (version 7.5 or higher)

Howdjoudodat in a 2D application?
Forge Freeform uses a proprietary 3D rendering engine and N.U.R.B.S. modeing code that reside within a 2D application. Forge Freeform maps (applies) the selected 2D image, footage or illustrator EPS files that are contained in a layer onto a N.U.R.B.S. surface. And there's more! FreeForm AE,DF+ DS add bezier-like Control points, + Tangents right in the Comp Window making FreeForm AE,DF + DS the most intuitive way to 3D warping, deformation and displacement mapping.

You can then manipulate these points + tangents on the X,Y + the Z axis, change the position of the anchor point (on the X+Y or Z axis) as necessary to achieve the desired results... but it doesn't end there... FreeForm AE,DF+ DS also offer control over:

- 3D Lighting
- 8bpc or 16 bpc rendering (as well as Float In Avid DS)
- Light Position + Rotation (X,Y + Z axis)
- Lighting Intensity
- Specular Intensity
- Inner and Outer Cone Radius Contols
- Light(s) Color
- Falloff Control
- Object Position (X,Y + Z axis)
- Object Rotation (X,Y + Z axis)
- Mapping other layers on the Back
- Camera distance to image on the Z axis
- Camera Focal Length
- Anchor Point (X,Y + Z axis)
- 3D displacement mapping
- Time variable Mesh Subdivision
- Three levels of Antialiasing
as well as giving you a fast wireframe preview option ,a flat-shaded mode and fully rendered preview mode. Whoa Nelly!

You no longer have to spend countless hours combining numerous effects in an attempt to simulate what you can easily do with Forge Freeform
